Leah’s Image Tips

Five Ways to Pump Up Your Image, Part 4

Hopefully, you're already aware that unkempt or badly styled hair, ragged or bitten nails, bad breath, and body odor are instant turnoffs in the workplace. Deodorant, soap, and toothpaste are your good friends. And since most people won't tell you when you need them, you'd best go ahead and get acquainted on your own! ============================================== Hair should be neatly styled and not too long. "Earth mother" or "aging hippie'" long hair doesn't look professional in the business world. Short to medium-length styles are most appropriate and should be kept fairly simple for business. Facial hair on men should be short and neatly trimmed. Make-up for women should be moderate and natural looking. Nails should look cared for and of short to average length. ============================================== I'm sure you're getting the message: moderation is the key. That doesn't mean your look can't be interesting. There are just better ways to get that look than by overdoing and overwhelming.
